Gary Petterson (L) & team say, "Help your plants beat the heat with aluminized shade cloth!"Remember: plants need slow, deep watering & consistent use of First Step (3 x per year) to help ease heat stress. Stick a long-shanked screwdriver in the soil to see how wet the soil is. If it's soft & muddy, your watering too much. If it 's dry & the screwdriver doesn't go in very far, then your underwatering & have caliche. 'Stress Relief' is a product that helps reduce moisture loss due to high temps & scorching winds.

Fresh veggies are still available:

Onions, okra, Armenian cucumbers & Swiss chard.

Weekly Gardening & Green Tip:

T-tape-Probably one of the most efficient ways to water; especially veggie or flower beds. It can be customized to your specific needs--as large or small as you need. It can be connected to a timer for easier & more accurate watering.Note: Before attempting to diagnose or treat any problem, be sure to either bring in a sample (or email us a photo) for verification with our Garden Pros. Also, please remember that we can't see it over the phone!

Green Tip:
If your emitters are clogged with mineral deposits, try soaking them in white vinegar. This will dissolve the build-up & make them work more efficiently.
